Here are some questions that you should keep in mind when troubleshooting your wireless network.
1. Verify that the IP address the system is receiving from the router (192.169.x.x) and not an auto assigned (169.254.x.x) IP address.
2. Has there been any new software or hardware was added or changed (firmware, anti-virus software, O/S updates, service packs)?
3. Was it connected to the wireless network before any new hardware or software been added?
4. If so have you tried to remove the new hardware or software?
5. Can you connect to the network wired?
6. What kind of network are you attached to (Home or Work)?
7. Has anything changed in the environment (new equipment, Cordless phone, Microwave, or construction)?
8. Have you checked for 3rd party software (Firewalls, network utilities)?
